Over 4,100 people in Cyprus set a new Guinness World Record for the longest alternating chain of people clasping wrists on Tuesday at Nicosia’s GSP Stadium. The Yianis Christodoulou Foundation organized the event, surpassing the previous record of 4,052 set in Kyoto, Japan in 2016.
Participants included young children, adults, and those from a special school. Notable attendees were foundation founder John Christodoulou and singer Konstantinos Argyros. After a successful minute of holding hands, participants enjoyed a concert by Argyros. The event was under the auspices of the Education Minister.
