The common goal is to highlight the city and province of Nicosia.
Specific actions to enhance the image of the Nicosia region as a tourist destination were discussed in a meeting held by the president and representatives of the Nicosia Tourism Board with the leadership of the Cyprus Guides Association. Among other things, ways were created to create innovative and interactive tours, both in the city and in the province of Nicosia, with the aim of highlighting authentic routes and unique points of interest.
During the meeting, the president of Nicosia Tourism Board, Theodoros Kriggou, informed about the intention of the company to supply all the members of the Guides Association with a package of equipment bearing the logos of Nicosia. The package includes a safety vest, a hat, a bucket, a pen and a plastic guide case.
From their part, the president of the Cyprus Guides Association, Lelia Mylona, thanked Nicosia Tourism Board for the initiative and said that the members of the Association will actively support any effort to strengthen the identity of Nicosia and promote its authentic routes.

Nicosia Tourism Board, is a non-profit organization founded in 2007 within the strategic planning and plan of the Ministry of Tourism. The purpose of Nicosia Tourism Board is the development and promotion of both the city and the Nicosia region and their transformation into a quality all-year tourist destination. In order to achieve its actions, Nicosia Tourism Board cooperates with various bodies at local, regional and international level, both in the public and private sector. Its main pillars of activity are cultural and creative tourism, conference and professional tourism, religious tourism, sports as well as wellness tourism.
