Nicosia Tourism Board proceeded with the installation of information signs “Info points” in Nicosia, in order to highlight major monuments and important sites located in the city of Nicosia.
The project catalyzes the digitization of the tourism product of Nicosia, strengthening the “smart tourism” infrastructure and enriching the touring experiences in the city.
The information boards have been placed in the following areas:
Monument of Freedom
Hammam Omerie
Famagusta Gate,
Kasteliotissa Hall
Church of Faneromeni
Fairytale Museum
CVAR
NiMAC
Information Center – “Stelios Ioannou” Library
University of Cyprus
University of Nicosia
The design of their construction is based on the new logo of Nicosia. It is also worth noting that the signs contain useful information for visitors in English, while they have a built-in QR and NFC code, through which visitors can draw more material and information.
The creation of the info points was co-financed by the Restart 2016 – 2020 program: Research in Startups – Research Promotion Foundation.
